Debit Card

A State Savings Bank debit card lets you purchase goods and services in person or by phone from participating merchants worldwide. Use it to pay for purchases anywhere MasterCard® is accepted. However, unlike a credit card, your debit card is linked to your checking account and purchases are automatically deducted from that account. All you need to do is enter the transactions in your checkbook register-just like a check or ATM transaction. In fact, your debit card takes the place of your ATM card, so you can also use it to do your banking or get cash anytime. See a customer service representative for more details.

ATM Card

State Savings Bank also offers a regular ATM card that gives you access to your checking or statement savings account anytime at one of three State Savings Bank automated teller machines (at our main office-703 Main Street, Frankfort; Glen's Market-1002 Forest Avenue, Frankfort; or Deering's Market, 10233 Front St, Empire) and at NYCE®, CIRRUS®, and thousands of ATMs located throughout Michigan and worldwide.

You may also use your ATM card to withdraw cash without fees at any Central State Bank or Northwestern Bank locations throughout northern Michigan!

How To Get Your Card

To apply for your State Savings Bank ATM or debit card, call us at (231) 352-9691. We will mail you an application within 24 hours. When we receive the completed application, we'll quickly process your request and send you your card when approved. You'll also receive a confidential Personal Identification Number (PIN), which allows only you to gain access to your account.
